TS Ana Brings Wind, Rain to Coast

         Tropical Storm Ana is expected to weaken to a tropical depression later today, Sunday, May 10, 2015, as it moves over eastern North Carolina. Tropical storm warnings remain in effect from Little River Inlet, SC, to Surf City, NC. Ana’s maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph. Tropical storm conditions are expected within portions of the warning area for several hours today, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Ana is expected to produce rainfall accumulations of 2 to 4 inches, with isolated maximum amounts of 6 inches over eastern portions of North Carolina and northeast South Carolina through Monday.
